In 2012, the heads of Science North, the City of Greater Sudbury, Laurentian University and Health Sciences North met to discuss the need to create increased leadership capacity among their organizations.
They asked “What if…”
What if we were able to mobilize and connect a cross-sectoral group of current and emerging (next generation) leaders from the North?
What if these leaders came together to accelerate their growth, development and impact?
What if this initiative created a stronger network of leaders committed to building the North and its capabilities?
From this meeting, the Northern Leadership Program was born. This year-long intensive program combines best practices in leadership development with network building opportunities creating a made-in-the-North solution that elevates careers and drives business results.
Since its inception, more than 140 people from Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins have completed the program.
